4/7/2024 0 Comments Change action strings octave![]() Sometimes it can be very frustrating, because the engine seems to work according to its own rules and takes control away from you. But the control over the voicings is limited and the behavior of the engine is unpredictable. You can use keyswitches to control the pattern (8th notes, 16ths etc.) and the voicings. So you play chords, and if the chord is within the engine's repertoire, it 9*will generate an ostinato. The first big difference is that Sonokinetic's Ostinato is recorded in intervals: each sample is at least two notes, so you can't create a line of ostinatos in single notes, except for the bass lines, where you can typically have the classic cello+bass in octaves.īut really, Sonokinetic is made to be used the way the intend it: as a generator of ostinatos based on a specific list of chords they have in their engine: major, minor, sevenths, sus2, sus4, diminished, augmented (I'm listing these off the top of my head, so I might be getting something wrong here).
